What to Expect

puppy1.png When you are looking for a veterinary care clinic you should be able to count on superior care and excellent service.  We at Boca Village Animal Hospital have assembled an expert team of veterinary professionals to bring you the best possible healthcare for your pet.  We have a state of the art veterinary facility which is clean, comfortable, and efficient.

During early puppyhood, wellness exams are recommended on a monthly basis, while for the average adult dog, middle-aged, senior, and geriatric dogs, twice-yearly examinations are recommended.

Your veterinarian will check various areas of your pet for abnormalities, which may include the eyes, ears, teeth, skin, abdomen, heart, lungs, and joints. The vet might also check for conditions specific to your pet’s breed. Be sure to ask about other common health issues for their breed because the symptoms of many hereditary conditions won’t be present until your pet is an adult. Awareness is essential for the early detection of diseases. If you’re looking for any specific tips or recommendations about care, training, and feeding, your pet’s appointment is a great time to bring up your questions.

We require to have any previous medical history prior to your appointment. This allows our veterianarians to review your pet's records prior.  It's best to keep a journal of your pet's health throughout his or her life, including behavioral shifts.

In some circumstances, Our veterinarians will refer you to a specialist who has advanced expertise in areas such as internal medicine or surgery.
